Founded in 1942 and situated in the fruit growing region of Central Otago on the South Island of New Zealand, Roxdale Foods has spent over 70 years working with the local growers to create natural, healthy fruit products from local, high quality apples, blackcurrants and stone fruit.
Central Otago's fruit is grown in some of the world's best soils in New Zealand’s South Island. The crisp, cold winters and hot dry summers create ideal conditions for fruit with high polyphenol content, outstanding flavour and rich colours.
Through the development and use of innovative processes, Roxdale produces a range of all natural, soft dried, infused apple products that retain the flavour, are naturally sweet and high in fibre in the form of a snack product or as an ingredient in baked goods and healthy snack bars.
We also extract, dry and mill the dietary fibre from the apple pomace that is a low sugar, rich source of fibre with a wide range of uses in processed foods, beverages, nutriceuticals and baking.
CCE technology forms the backbone of Roxdale's operations and allows us to extract juice and soluble solids from the fruit at low temperatures, as well as a unique infusion process to produce our naturally flavored and sweetened apple slices and dices.
